(Ver ) This is “Part 4” in a series of advanced Christian lessons on “Understanding Hard Sayings” found in the Bible. This lesson today is not a new subject for me to teach on, for I have covered parts of this topic of hard sayings in at least one other lesson. The more technical background of Understanding the Difficult Words of Jesus is to be found in scholarly literature authored by Flusser, Safrai, and others at Hebrew University,2 but especially important as a prelude or com- panion to this book are two works by Robert L. Lindsey, pastor of Baptist House in Jerusalem for the past forty Size: KB.

While some of Jesus' words are indeed hard.   In his book, "The Hard Sayings of Jesus" F.F. Bruce explores many of these difficult teachings and exposits them in a way which allows the student of the Bible to better understand what Jesus taught on these more difficult subjects/5(61).
